How to install Lightroom presets for MOBILE

Save each .DNG file to your phone or mobile device. Here’s the easiest way to do this:

  1. Open up the PDF file that was sent over with your order confirmation.

  2. Under the text ‘DOWNLOAD LINKS,’ click on the first preset name (these are all highlighted in yellow).

  3. You’ll see either a strange looking image preview or an error message telling you that the thumbnail has failed to load. Don’t worry - because of the file type (DNG), you won’t actually see a photo whenever you click on each preset.

  4. Select the 3 dots at the top of your phone or tablet & save the .DNG file to Dropbox or a folder on your phone/tablet. Depending on the device, you might have to select ‘Export’ then ‘Save to device.’ *If your phone/tablet gives you the option to save directly to Lightroom, choose that option!

  5. Click the ‘Back’ button & click on the second link within the PDF file. Repeat steps 2-4 as you save each file one by one.

Load the presets into Lightroom (free mobile app).

  1. Open up the free Adobe Photoshop Lightroom app from your phone: (download from App Store here) (download from Google Play here).

  2. From the bottom right corner, click on the ‘+’ to add your DNG files from the folder on your mobile device where they were saved (ex: Dropbox folder).

  3. You should see a preview of each DNG file that includes our logo along with that preset’s name. With all 8 files selected, click ‘Add.’

  4. Click on one of the DNG files then select the 3 dots at the top right of the screen. Click ‘Create Preset.’ Be sure to give each preset a name you’ll remember (feel free to use the names we’ve provided). Click the check mark after naming your preset.

  5. Select the ‘back’ arrow to navigate back to your Lightroom library. Select one of your images & scroll over (bottom right part of the screen) to the icon labeled ‘Presets.’

  6. Click the 3 dots at the top of the window to save your edited photo.

Editing Your Images:

  • Open up the image(s) you’d like to edit.

  • Select ‘Presets’ from the bottom toolbar.

  • Click on the preset you’d like to apply.

  • Hit the check mark to apply it.

Things to consider:

Since each image will have different settings when it comes to lighting, colors, & contrast, among other variables, you might want to make additional tweaks to your images using the editing options included with Lightroom. Most of these settings can be accessed through the ‘Light’ icon at the bottom of your screen.

Our presets are meant to give you the look of having professional photo edits without breaking the bank, but please understand that we are not wizards. In order to achieve a consistent look across all of your images, , you’ll first need to practice setting up your shot so you get the most out of our presets.

Tips for creating images for social media:

  • Make sure that you have a decent camera (newer iPhones, Androids, & DSLRs work great).

  • try shooting in natural light as often as possible (no overhead or flourescent lighting).

  • For ‘light & airy’ colors, set up your shoot next to a window using neutral tones throughout your subject matter.
